Job Description

Sales Consultants excel in selling products and solutions – matching a client’s needs to what the company has to offer. Sales Consultants work in almost any field imaginable and plays an important part in a company’s sustainability and efforts of staying profitable and competitive.

Responsible for identifying and meeting customer needs within the allotted sales territory (Software and Hardware), maintaining good after-sales relationships, keeping records of customer appointments and completed sales, and providing detailed information on the products they are selling. Equally important to the role is the regular update product knowledge, as well as honing and developing selling techniques. The most successful consultants provide a personalised service to their customers, establishing trust and taking a non-confrontational approach to selling.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow a strong client base.
  • Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals.
  • Respond to new and current client base regarding complaints and service enquiries.
  • Developing a deep understanding of how a company's products/services work.
  • Become an expert in answering questions about the services and products.
  • Understanding the needs of each customer and suggest specific products/services to them.
  • Building a solid relationship with customers when presenting the company's products.
  • Identifying new opportunities that arise from the customer’s needs (trends).
  • Providing top-notch customer service and advertising via phone, email, social media, etc.
  • Researching sales statistics and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Identifying potential clients and generate new leads for the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in promoting products/services to new clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines and sales goals.
  • Ability to understand what the customer needs.
  • Knowledge of software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Degree or diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum of three years experience in Sales and Marketing
